Coach,
How much time is left?

About 30 seconds less than the last time you asked me!

How do I get a soccer application?

Applications are available on-line.  They are also mailed to our existing roster of players and delivered to the public and private elementary schools in Sioux Falls, and to the elementary schools in Brandon, Tea, Harrisburg, and West Central.  Applications are also available at Lewis, and most sporting goods stores in Sioux Falls.  You may also pick one up at our office.

U16 and U19 players must obtain a player card and provide us with a copy of a certified birth certificate.  Baptismal certificates are not acceptable.  Players will also need to bring a small ID photo to the office to be mounted onto the player card.  You will be notified of the days and times to check in for these leagues.

When is the registration deadline?

Spring Soccer - February 2nd
Summer 4V4 Soccer - Approximately June 15th
Fall Soccer - July 4th

Where do I play?

How far do we travel for games?

SFSA Recreational and Advanced Teams are not traveling teams. All regularly scheduled games are played in Sioux Falls. Teams may choose to participate in the State Tournament which may require travel if it is held out of town. The State Tournament in June of 2006 will be held in Rapid City, SD

Do we play in tournaments?

Full team and 4V4 tournaments may be available for Recreational and Advanced teams in the spring and fall sessions. These events are held in Sioux Falls and are optional soccer activities.  They require an additional entry fee. Your coach may discuss this option with you. All teams in the Spring session have the option to play in the state tournament.  (Entry fee required.)

What days do we play soccer?

Games are played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Make-up games are held on Wednesdays and Fridays as time and field space permit. Teams are scheduled to play one or two games per week. The number of practices per week is up to your coach.

Do we have to keep score?

Just like on Drew Carey's "Who's Line Is It Anyway" show...the points don't matter and are not kept for U5, U6, U7, or U8.

Scores and standings are reported for U-12 and above.

What equipment do I need?

Players need shin guards and socks to cover the shin guards.  Soccer shoes are optional. Water is a must at all games. Equipment is available at the local sporting good stores. The SFSA does not sell equipment.

What size soccer ball do we use?

Size 3 for U5, U6, U7 and U8.
Size 4 for U10 and U12.
Size 5 for U14 and above.
Write your name and phone number on your soccer ball!

Do we have to wear uniforms?

Yes! Uniform shirts are provided to all players and must be returned at the end of the season. U5, U8 and U19 Classic Leagues are provided with T-shirts which do not need to be returned.

Can my business sponsor uniforms?

Yes! Uniform sponsorships are available for your business. You'll get 8 seasons of promotion. Contact Robert Miller for more information.

Where is the lost and found?
